Site Name: Janeil - Loch Fyne

History

The Janeil was a 12 tonne wooden motor fishing vessel registered at Tarbert, Loch Fyne, number TT83. She was built in 1934 and named Duthies. She was 12 metres long with a beam of 4 metres. Janeil was a prawn trawler in Loch Fyne, skippered by Captain Archie "Rigger" MacKinnon. She sank on 19th January 1976 and now lies in approx 75 metres just opposite Furnace Quarry.

Can be dived at any state of the tide.
