HMS Amplify was a requisitioned steam trawler that sank in 1915 after hitting Sgier a Scape in the entrance to Castlebay.

The wreck of HMS Amplify lies fairly broken up to the north of Sgier a Scape. The triple expansion steam engine, boiler and prop can be easily seen scattered around on the sea bed. She lies in relatively shallow water.
When to dive
HMS Amplify can be dived at any state of the tide. She is relatively well protected from the prevailing weather. Making the site a good site for bad weather days.
