Sligneach Mor is a rocky islet located in Loch Sunart. It is an excellent site for both divers and snorkellers as there is something to see at every depth. Snorkellers can explore the shallows and search for nudibranchs on the kelp or play with the friendly seals. Divers can drop in near the small rock which breaks the surface to the north east of the islet at low water and descend past the kelp down the wall to a maximum depth of 30 metres on the wall, or for those qualified there is a 55 metre hole to explore to the north east of the wall. The rock face overhangs slightly in places, and has many cracks hiding squat lobsters and crabs as well as playing host to numerous types of wrasse, saithe and poor cod. Dead men's fingers and plumose anemones engulf much of the wall making it a very colourful dive. Beyond the wall to the west is a sandy slope which provides good ground for scallops and the occasional angler fish. A good long dive can be had by keeping the wall either on the left or the right and circumnavigating the islet finishing in the shallows at the end of the dive.
