Fyne Pioneer, Loch Fyne

Site Name: King Kong Corner - Mingulay - Outer Hebrides

Dive Site Info

This site, perhaps more appropriately to be called Twin Rocks Wall or Sloc Duhn an Duine, was named King King Corner by a group of divers who felt that the rocky headland looked exactly like King Kong's face.

At the south west tip of Mingulay, this site is very exposed to weather and swell, although tide does not affect it. The wall steps down to 35 metres where divers will find a boulder and rock bottom covered in life.

When to dive

Whilst the site can be dived at any state of the tide, it can only be dived when there is very little swell due to the exposed location.
